There is no date given for this photograph. The house on the right foreground has gone (replaced by pensioners bungalows) and the telegraph poles have also gone. Otherwise much is similar. The Yarborough Hotel became the Lincoln Castle Hotel and is now the offices of Howarth Timber.

This photograph has been altered so that the writing on it has been removed. The road and sky were made smooth and picture folds and cuts removed. The photograph was a glossy copy, obtained courtesy of The Fish Pan in New Holland.
