Fabulous stuff this, which has been doing the rounds for some time now. It is also a big hoax (beyond the obvious introductory details). Some of it is random and some give the broadest possible outcomes, some show letter and number connections that suit in different ways, and other factual claims are untrue. What a shame to spoil a good story with some truth: there was no Q33NY and the Quranic verse is wrong, plus numbers of passengers and crew are incorrect. Nevertheless this hoax was one of the most powerful circulated, and discussed, and indicates how stories of the miraculous get transmitted around, especially when there is no possibility of checking the original facts.
