James Martineau and
Web Page Manipulation

This is a test webpage. It (literally) traces a Biography of Unitarians entry for James Martineau (Carter, George (2013, originally 1902), Unitarian Biographical Dictionary: Being Short Notices of the Lives, London: Forgotten Books.) and adds a black and white image of his features as a younger man. There are no actual images on this page. The text, from the biography, was an image and, as code, forms as an image; and so does the image, that was an image, and is now code that forms that image again. See the source for the page!Extra The appearance of text and appearance of an image will stay smooth in nature if the page is magnified (just as fonts do).

The following is a commonly available black and white drawing of James Martineau given here within also using .SVG derived format, that is to say although derived from the image it is not an image here but code that reforms to an image. This image is continuously expandable and will stay smooth.
