Communication Assessments

Level 1 Level 2 Level 3

There is always a submitted portfolio in Key Skills. Levels 1 or 2 is for those with less than GCSE English Grade C. For those with GCSE English grade C or above there is Level 2 without a test and Level 3 with a test. Those with Level 2 already enter for Level 3. Subject work can be offered, even from a previous year and additional work can be generated to meet portfolio requirements. For all three levels some integration within is needed; indeed Level 1 C1.2 clearly requires additional use of material obtained and read. Discussions should be informed. "Relevant" is flexible in terms of subject matter. "Appropriate" is more specific and needs consistency with other material.
