Europe - New Holland and Bonskeid

Bonskeid House is situated in Scotland and in Perthshire, which is into the Highlands of Scotland but close to major travel routes and is not at all remote, despite sharing the rural characteristics of more remote locations.

Wider area

Bonskeid House is located on the B8019 some minutes off the B8079 which was the old A9 before the new higher level road was built. The bridge built in 1968 across the River Garry links to the now B8079 and cars travel to north of Pitlochry or South of Blair Atholl to join the new A9 with its smooth curves and slopes. Travel well south of the A827 junction to get to Dunkeld. The B8019 past Bonskeid House goes through Kinloch Rannoch and eventually a dead end at Rannoch Station. It is the road that links the West Highland Line with the main Highland Line to Inverness.

Immediate area

So to a close up of the house and grounds. The in road is the lower road, and the out road is the higher road on the map.
