Bonskeid Basics

Bonskeid House is only 85 minutes drive from and to Edinburgh or Glasgow, situated as it is in central Scotland. The rail service is all day and night on the mainline from and to Inverness, with the stop at Pitlochry (and it is possible to take the longer but direct road journey from Rannoch Station through Kinloch Rannoch and Tummel to Bonskeid).
There were 43 bedrooms. The total number of people that were comfortably accommodated was 110 guests in 6 family rooms, 4 group rooms, 6 double rooms, 18 twin rooms and 7 single rooms.

For the use of guests were three large lounges in the house which also functioned as conference rooms. In addition the added dining room had many functions (as well as its main eating one) with extensive views across the valley and mountains. Small rooms were used for meetings too. There was a snooker room. Hot and cold drinks were available 24 hours a day and there was a snacks and souvenir shop.
There are 38 acres of grounds. Much was developed as natural and managed policy woodland. There are lawns, ponds and a walled garden. There was a tennis court, an outside chess board, croquet facilities, forest walking, private fishing and a range of outdoor activities, environmental studies facilities, a ranger service and guided walks were made available.
